(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- The latest edition of Peru Gaming Show established itself as a key event in the Latin American gaming industry, with more than 5,000 daily attendees from 40 countries and a vibrant exhibition hall. Strategic conferences and high-level networking rounded out this historic edition. SoloAzar shares all the details in this interview with Joe López, CEO of AMG, the event organizer.

PGS 2025 and Exhibitor Feedback
“We spoke with as many exhibitors as possible before the show closed, and everyone was very happy with the number of visitors,” says Joe López, adding that exhibitors believe they had more visitors than last year and that the quality was also better.
Response from Visiting Public
“Like the exhibitors, the audience commented on the surprise of seeing such a large number of people at the show, leaders and players of the game of different nationalities together under one roof,” stated Joe López.
Regarding the conferences, he added the following: “For visitors, the conferences had great professional content and a lot of information of interest to them. The show, as they indicated, was very well organized, with stands designed and presented very well by the exhibitors.”
Highlights
“The conferences were very well attended and accepted by the audience. The topics were very timely and focused on addressing issues relevant to the current market, both nationally and regionally. Our networking event, organized exclusively for operators and suppliers, was very well received, and attendees appreciated the event as an opportunity to share time in a more relaxed atmosphere, allowing them to make new contacts and discuss the possibility of generating new business.”
Selective Consumption Tax, a topic of debate
“The critical and important issue affecting the industry right now, particularly in Peru, is the implementation of the Selective Consumption Tax due to the impact it will have. It is a concern for the sector and the industry that is pressing for operators and manufacturers. In this context, I think it was the most interesting topic for most people,” López emphasized.
5,000 attendees from 40 countries and full conference halls
“We are still calculating the numbers, but we know that on the first day there were almost 5,000 people in attendance. Although we don't have the exact number, we think the second day was almost the same. The conference had 500 chairs in the room, and they were all occupied, with people standing at the back of the room.” We had visitors from 40 countries, which proves the importance of Latin America to the rest of the world as a region with significant business opportunities and great potential,” López emphasized.
PGS 2025: More Exhibitors, More Visitors, New Brands
“We are very happy with the growth we have experienced year after year. We had more exhibitors and visitors than previous years. In terms of exhibitors, we had many new brands, and we think we had around 2,000 more visitors than in 2024. What was most impressive was the number of visitors from many parts of the world, an indicator that demonstrates the relevance of PGS in the global industry leaders and suppliers gathering,” he remarked.
PGS: Integration of Land-Based and Online Gaming and Sports Betting
“This year there was a significant presence of online gaming and sports betting providers, which was expected considering this is the first year since these verticals were formalized in the Peruvian market. However, we don't want to ignore the importance of land-based gaming and the significant contribution they make to the industry as a whole, which is why their presence at PGS 2025 was exceptional. Next year, we want to give greater importance and presence to manufacturers of land-based gaming machines and products, with the goal of further integrating the industry at a trade fair like PGS, which is the regional hub.”
Peru, a Gaming Market with Growth Projection
“Without a doubt, the market's potential is the most important factor and what most attracts companies to participate and have a presence at PGS. But we also recognize the importance of always maintaining professionalism in the final product we offer and covering the important aspects that benefit the industry at the moment. We have clear objectives and goals regarding the service we offer our clients, so we focus entirely on ensuring good performance for them,” commented López.
The Role of PGS in the Gaming and Betting Ecosystem of Peru and Latam
“Since our first year organizing PGS, we knew the importance of our market in the global gaming industry. For that reason, we began promoting the Peru Gaming Show as “A Show for Peru,” affirms López, when asked about the importance of PGS for the gaming sector.
López affirms that they, as organizers, saw it as unnecessary for Peruvian operators to have to spend money and time traveling to other countries to learn about industry developments.
“We believed that the industry and leaders should come to Peru and present their innovations and contributions. With that goal in mind, we began our efforts to attract manufacturers and service providers to Peru. We believe the results of PGS 2025 speak for themselves,” he concluded.
